Siaba Besar

Siaba Besar is a beautiful island in the central part of the Komodo National Park. There are 2 Siaba islands next to each other, and as its name suggests, Siaba Besar is the big one of these two Siaba islands: besar means big in local language.

The highlight of this island is with no doubt, the stunning snorkel and dive that can be done. Siaba Besar dive site is a sheltered bay with coral seamounts and amazing coral reefs, located in the North-West side of the island. The reef is 4-6 meters deep with healthy corals and sand patches around. It has a massive coral garden and lacks strong currents, but it does not mean it lacks cool sights and marine life, just the opposite! This feature makes Siaba Besar a suitable dive site for any kind of level, being the best place for those who have never dived and want to try this amazing experience in Komodo National Park. Siaba Besar is heaven for snorkelers, given its easy conditions with shallow coral reefs, very little current and abundant marine life.
